Day four....the race

The whirlwind has settled a bit. We headed to Canterbury yesterday morning for a visit to the Canterbury Cathedral (wow!). The visit to the cathedral was just amazing and the students all seemed in awe of the grandness of the church. After Canterbury it was off to Dover, where we had a bit of an adventure catching the ferry, but once aboard we had a very pleasant trip across the English Channel, landing at Calais, and then driving about 2 1/2 hours to Rouen. The welcome at our hotel was a little less than pleasant, as they had a bad experience with another EF the night before. Of course our students have someone restored their faith in young people quite a bit.
We had a nice walk around the city, some us sat down for a nice cup of coffee, and we had a great dinner.
Today we will be heading to Normandy proper, where we will be walking the invasion beaches, walking through the German bunkers, visiting the American Cemetery, and the invasion museum.

Rocky, I thought your group should know and be in prayer for Miss Evans. I have her permission to share with you that her biopsy came back positive for cancer. She is tentatively scheduled for surgery this Friday. She is hoping to have her case handled by Loma Linda. Please pray!
