Bastogne

This may end up being the highlight for many on the trip. We had a five hour drive from Paris(which provided many with some nice time for a long nap), and upon reaching Bastogne we had the priviledge of being given a tour by Henri Mignon, who is considered by many to be THE expert on The Battle of the Bulge. He guided us through the museum, the memorial, the crypt, and the actual battlefield that Easy Company fought in. To make it even better, snow covered the ground of the battlefield, and mud filled the bottom of the foxholes. Nothing brought home the reality of what we were seeing better than that combination.
